"Against the assault of laughter nothing can stand." - Mark
Twain
Earl Nightingale tells of how certain native American peoples would punish
thieves by laughing at them. It is kind of odd but if you think of any group of
people, is someone is centred out and laughed at they wither. That can be both
a good and a bad thing I suppose.
Rather than fight something you see as being an injustice or just being
wrong, how about laughing at it rather than fighting it? What do you think
would happen if you started looking at your difficulties and challenges in a different
light. Laugh at your problems rather than stew on them. I’ll bet the problems
change entirely.
I think what Mark Twain was getting at though is, in my opinion, the
fact that laughter and lightheartedness and break a lot of things down.
Laugh at things from now on.
